Music

Music is a huge cornerstone of daily activity in this house.  It weaves through our days and our chores. It infuses our food with rhythm and the tinge of flavor.  When we eat, our bodies rock back and forth, with the melody of the music.  It is so wonderful to nourish ourselves to the tune of the human experience.

What is your favorite music?  Lately, we have been listening to Beirut, bjork, bon iver, and jill scott to name a few.  Preparing food to the harmonies and intricacies of music help me put love into my work.  Then LOVE comes through in all of us.

What music would you like to hear as you dine at Polly's Paladar?  So far we have 3 groups who have signed up, to be revealed at the opening of the ticket sales for each month.  As will the guest chef information.

Hope everyone is doing swell and look out for those mailings coming at you!  I hope the mail carrier can handle the stack! Be sure to cut off the side and mail it back all filled out!

PEACE

  1. What a good question. No one has asked me that before. I think partly it depends on the food being served, if there is an international theme, for instance, international music. I know I want whatever music to be at a low enough volume that I can enjoy my conversation. Nothing too frenetic or dissonant.

  2. Everything will be acoustic here. No worries.
